Print Substrates

Standard Banner Vinyl

Standard banner vinyl is 13oz Scrim Vinyl. Nylon fiber reinforced and very tough. Most common banner material out there. Can be used indoor or outdoors. Excellent print quality with even color laydown and excellent ink retention for high contrast black and vivid colors. Material has a slight waffle texture from the fibers embedded within the vinyl. Can be cut without hems without fraying. Generally hemmed 95 percent of the time for a finished look and additional strength for grommets or pole pockets. Cost effective choice for a variety of large format print projects beyond banners. Be creative with this material and save!

Heavyweight Blockout Vinyl

Heavyweight banner vinyl is 15oz Blockout Scrim Vinyl. Nylon fiber reinforced and very tough. The blockout means that light cannot penetrate the banner and therefore the banner is opaque enough for double sided printing. Very strong light can still be seen through this material. Useful if placing banners back to back in the sun. Additional thickness imparts additional wrinkle resistance but adds weight. Can be used indoor or outdoors. Excellent print quality with even color laydown and excellent ink retention for high contrast black and vivid colors. Material has a slight waffle texture from the fibers embedded within the vinyl. Can be cut without hems without fraying. Generally hemmed 95 percent of the time for a finished look and additional strength for grommets or pole pockets.

Superstrong Vinyl

Superstrong banner vinyl is industrial strength. 3x stronger than standard banner material. Ideal for harsher weather conditions that may stress mounting points (wind, rain, etc) and other demanding situations where strength is important. Also lays flat readily after being folded or crumped. Can be used indoor or outdoors. Generally hemmed 95 percent of the time for a finished look and additional strength for grommets or pole pockets. This material can be grommeted without a hem if desired.

Mesh Vinyl

Mesh material is ideal for large banners where wind loads or weight is an issue. It can be used for outdoor events and hi-rise building applications, or indoor displays. In addition, it can be used in office windows where graphics need to be visible from outside, yet visibility from inside is not impaired. Uses include (but not limited to): building wraps, scaffolding wraps, event signage, stage backdrops, indoor concerts, construction site fences, exhibition halls, window banners.

Supersmooth Vinyl

Supersmooth Scrim Vinyl is a 11oz Vinyl with a finer embedded mesh than the standard scrim. The finer weave results in a smoother surface. Also slightly softer than Standard 13oz scrim.

Large Print Substrates

Perforated Adhesive

Used on windows. Automotive or storefront. Allows light penetration and improves privacy. 53 inch width maximum x any length. Larger prints can be tiled for a larger presentation.

Adhesive

4ml calendered with RapidAir release. Oracal 8651. 53 inch width maximum x any length. Larger prints can be tiled for a larger presentation.

Backlit Film

Backlit Film is a heavy-duty translucent material with a high-quality satin finish that minimizes glare and allows for spectacular high-resolution displays. This front print film for backlit signage has an excellent white point for vivid colors. Applications:Backlit Signage, POP, Light Boxes, Backlit Menus, Trade Show Displays. 53 inch width maximum x any length. Larger prints can be tiled for a larger presentation.

Heavy Paper

Poster paper. Create you own custom posters or use as cost effective promotions. 53 inch width maximum x any length. Larger prints can be tiled for a larger presentation.

Canvas

Archival quality print canvas designed for visual displays, fine art, and photography.

Grommets

Grommets are metal reinforcing rings.

“Standard Grommets” will give you grommets on corners and every 2-3 feet on the horizontal, and 2-4 feet on vertical depending on the size of the banner.

Just4Banners only uses quality grommets. No low cost grommets to fail or rust.

Pole Pockets

Sleeve created by folding and stitching.

Useful for hanging banners with a pole instead of using grommets. Also useful for weighing down and straightening the lower side of a hanging banner.

If you have a specific pole size, please specify in special instructions.

Hems

Hems create a finished appearance

Hems also add additional strength and rigidity. Created by stitching and usually approximately 1 inch in width.

Recommeded whenever grommets are installed.

Windslits

Windslits are wind relief cuts.

Spaced approx. every 2-3 sqft. Crucial text and graphics are avoided whenever possible.

Note: Windslits will reduce wind load in certain conditions but may create a potential tear source.

Laminate

Lamination available by request.

Laminating a print creates an additional barrier against abrasion and fading.

Premium quality cast vinyl used in most laminations. Floor laminate, matte laminate, gloss laminate, are a few of the lamination options available.

Hems

Hems create a finished appearance

Hems also add additional strength and rigidity. Created by stitching and usually approximately 1 inch in width.
